A storybook 4th of July is possible: Pack up the family and head to Columbia's Glorious 4th of July Celebration!
The festivities kick off at 11am with a flag raising and firing of the cannon by the Columbia Foot Dragoons, but get there early for the best parking and don't forget lawn chairs. While waiting for the parade to begin at noon, little ones can "find a needle in the haystack" — an event designed to keep them busy and happy!

Columbia State Historic Park — once a bustling, brawling gold rush town — sits at an elevation of 2,100 feet amongst the oaks of the Sierra Nevada foothills. In the mid 1800's, the town of Columbia was one of the largest cities in California, attracting people from other US states as well as other countries with promises of gold. The fun begins on Saturday evening, June 30, 6pm, in the Gustine High School Auditorium where the Little Mister & Little Miss Gustine pageant takes place and continues at 7pm when the Miss Gustine pageant begins.
Head to the Gustine High School Football field at 5:30 on Tuesday, July 3, for the Tractor Pull.

Rancho Cordova's All-American Fourth is a two day celebration of our nation's birth! With carnival and fireworks displays set for both July 3 and July 4, 2011, your family is sure to have fun.

Festivities begin in Ralston Park (3rd Street, between Fir and Grove Avenues) at 9am, with live entertainment hitting the stage at 11am; activities and food booths remain open until 4pm.
The parade begins at 9am, right in front of the Foster Freeze, located at 1401 Winton Way. Trophy presentation occurs at 2pm in Ralston Park.
