Rainbow Fields offers baseball play for children ages 8-14. Children are placed in appropriate age brackets based on their age on May 1 of each play year. Players have games once or twice a week, with all games being played Mondays, Tuesdays or Wednesdays at either 5:30pm or 7:15pm.

America's pastime is Modesto's pastime. Children ages 4 to 14 and residing in Stanislaus County can play baseball for Bel Passi Baseball, who's fields are located in northeast Modesto on Roselle Avenue, just south of Claribel. This non-profit youth sports league has registration period from December to February, and child registering must be 4 by April 30.

Youngsters will learn the basics of T-ball: including batting, throwing, running the bases and fielding. This is a parent participation group! Remember to wear close toed shoes, pants and a t-shirt. Also bring a water bottle and any t-ball gear you own (bat, glove, etc.) Meet at the softball field on MJC's West Campus. Discounts are available if you register online.

The Stockton Ports, the minor league professional baseball team affiliated with the Oakland A's, plays throught the summer at Stockton's Banner Island Ballpark.
The minor league baseball season begins in April and ends in September. The team often holds promotions and ticket deals, which make attending a baseball game a reasonably priced family outing.
