Black Chasm Cavern, located in the Sierra Nevada foothills town of Volcano, is a National Natural Landmark. This cavern is one of only 5% of caves in the world feature rare helictite crystal formations.

California Cavern is California's first cave show! Discovered in 1849 and opened in 1850, Captain Taylor made it possible for daring settlers to visit the inside of the cave for just a pinch of gold. The one-week day camp sessions run all summer long (early June - early August)! Full-day camp hours are 7:30am-6:00pm; half-day camp is 7:30am-noon or 1:00-6:00pm . All camps include gymnastics, arts & crafts, music, science, dance and Freaky Friday challenges. Each week is themed to guarantee fun!
