Boreal Mountain Resort is a full-service ski resort located north of the Lake Tahoe basin, just off of Interstate 80.
The resort sits at an elevation of 7,700 feet with 480 rideable acres. Three terrain parks feature over half of their trails rated intermediate, 30% at a beginner level and 15% at an advanced skill level. A total of 8 lifts are in the parks: two quads chairs, three triple chairs, one double chair, and two moving carpets. Besides skiing and snowboarding, Boreal offers playland tubing.
One unique feature at Boreal is the Shared Parent Lift Pass. Parents may purchase a lift ticket that can be shared, perfect for couples with little ones not old enough to ride the mountain.
Children aged 4 to 12 can learn to ski or snowboard with half-day, full-day or private lessons. Lessons are also available for first-timers 13 and older. For those looking to go from a beginner to a full-fledged skier or snowboarder in one season, check out the 1-2-3 Ride Free package.
Hours of operation: 9am-9pm, 9am-4pm when night operations not in session.
