The Boy Scouts of America GYC serves the Calaveras, Mariposa, Merced, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Tuolumne counties and its goal is to develop boys into fit, productive, helpful citizens, with the ability to make decisions based on ethics. 

There are several districts within the GYC council, and the district serving Modesto, Oakdale, Riverbank, Empire and Salida is the Chief Tenaya District.  To join the Boy Scouts of America, begin here, at the Join Scouting web page.
