I love taking my grandkids here! They love every part of the experience - from picking out their piece, their colors and adornments and I love getting the time to just talk with them while they finish their project. It always give them a good sense of accomplishment!

I enjoy making crafts that involve my child's hand/foot prints. It helps me to remember how small they were. Color Me Mine allows you to do this in a unique and creative way. The only thing I recommend, is for the younger kids, bring them in, get what you need to get painted (hand/foot print) and then send them on their way. It's hard to sit and focus on painting the rest of your piece if you're trying to chase after a young one. Something to consider......more

My daughter loves art and painting so I thought this would be a fun place to take her. She was 2 1/2 at the time and we were in the somewhat beginning stages of potty training. She had a blast painting her piece but unfortunatly she had so much fun that she had an accident. I informed the staff right away so that it could be santized and apologized for her and even offered to help clean up. They said it was no big deal and that was that. When I got my piece a few days later they said nothing to me when I picked it up. When I got home I found a nasty note about my daughter in there. Basically telling me that they didnt want us coming back because they were disgusted at the fact that she had an accident. I was so hurt and **** off that I have not been back. When I pass the business I get a fowl taste in my mouth. If you have a problem tell me to my face and be professional about it. Toddlers have accidents....it happens. I would not recommend this place to anyone....more

The millisecond Color Me Mine is visible from the car window, my 7-year old puts in the politest request: "When can we go to paint pottery again at Color Me Mine?"

As user ktnelson noted, it's not necessarily a bargain activity, but it is a lot of fun! Older children who are detail-oriented can be entertained for at least a couple of hours — if not more! — especially when the project selected is a more intricate piece.

The paint colors are numerous. A multitude of techniques may be employed, thanks to the wide array of brushes, sponges, and puffy-paint type paints available. Stencils and idea books are ready and waiting for those needing precise outlines or general ideas. Beyond all of this, the staff at Color Me Mine are also extremely helpful and ready to aid in whatever way a customer might need.

I took my daughter and three friends here for her ninth birthday. The girls had a blast! There were so many different pieces to choose from: we came home with a dog, a gnome, a dragon and a penguin. The girls loved selecting their own colors, and it was neat to see how they each approached their projects.

After seeing what their sister had done, my boys were begging to go as well. They were seven when we went, and though they had fun, I think they were a little young to really enjoy it. They didn't have the attention span to do more than one coat, and some of the detail work was frustrating.

Overall, the ladies that worked there were friendly and helpful. Our pieces were done before they were promised, and it was a fun place to be. It's not cheap--with studio fees and pottery, prepare to spend at least $20 per child, but it was a fun, special outing for my kids!
