One of the oldest traditions in Modesto, Concert in the Park happens every Thursday evening throughout June and July. The Modesto Band of Stanislaus County performs at 8pm, however many families gather long before that to enjoy a picnic dinner. There are no specific activities for children during the evening, unless you count the numerous ice cream trucks that stop by!
Please note beer & wine are permitted at the park during this event.

This is a difficult event to review because it’s not necessarily a ‘family’ event, although there are tons families and kids. Basically it is a huge picnic, with tons of people of every age. Bring chairs, blanket, dinner, snacks, games and lots of drinks. The kids next to us brought Uno and a deck of cards, we brought a football which actually worked out. There were less people for the last concert because of the 107 degree weather....more
