Over 150 volunteers step back in time to 1852 to recreate life in a gold diggings encampment. Volunteers are dressed as miners, merchants, blacksmiths, actors/actresses, etc. to help kids learn about life during the Gold Rush. Visitors will also be able to examine the lifestyle of families who settled in Columbia; learn about crafts, how their children played, cooking, their music and more. This event is held at Columbia Historic State Park.
