After arriving and setting up the overnight gear on the Reptile House lawn, eat dinner amongst the wild zoo animals, then take a nighttime safari tour and watch the nocturnal animals eat breakfast. Next, sit at the campfire, meet some of the zoo residents and learn fun animal facts. Fall asleep under the stars and wake to the calls and squawks of the earliest risers in the zoo. Pack up the gear, break the fast, then take a morning safari walkabout and watch as more zoo animals are fed.
The Overnight Safari officially wraps up at 9am, but sleepover guests are invited to stay the rest of the day, just in case a favorite animal has yet to be visited.
Registration begins at 9am on March 24, 2010. All Overnight Safaris begin at 6pm and end at 9am the following morning. Guests must enter through the back gate of the zoo between 5:30pm and 6pm; entrance gates will close promptly at 6pm.
