Steve Spitalny, a longtime Waldorf educator and author of “Connecting with Young Children: Educating the Will,” will talk about Waldorf education’s distinctive arts- and nature-based curriculum. Modesto parents will discuss their efforts to open the Waldorf-inspired Manzanita Charter School.
The information session will be presented by Foundations Public Schools which is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a series of Waldorf methods charter schools to the Central Valley. Their first charter school, Green Valley School in Los Banos is already up and running. Manzanita School is currently targeted to open in fall 2015.
The session will be in the basement of the Modesto Public Library, 16th and I streets.
