Golden Gate Park celebrates its 140th anniversary this year and is hosting a number of exciting events. One of the most kid-friendly is the Garden Railway Exhibit, a G-gauge exhibit featuring trains and trolleys on three different tracks, running alongside miniaturized park landmarks.
Make sure to get on board before the exhibit departs on March 13, 2011!
CONDUCTOR FOR A DAY
For a $50 donation to the Conservatory, children may be a conductor for the day, receive a whistle and an engineer's hat, with a chance to start up the Garden Railway trains! For more information on this, contact eedelson@sfcof.org or call (415) 577-2584.
Hours of operation: Tuesday - Sunday: 10:00am - 4:30pm
Please note on Sundays and major holidays Golden Gate Park closes many of its roads to vehicle traffic.
Free parking is available within Golden Gate Park, although spaces are limited and there are time limits of 3-4 hours.
