DANCE CAMP

Each summer, the Juline School of Dance faculty organizes a highly-attended dance and art camp. This typically takes place during the third week of June (June 17 - 21, 2013), and is available to ages 4 to 10.  A morning (9 - 11:30am) or afternoon (12:30 - 3pm) session gives your child a considerable chunk of creative playtime with peers, supervised and directed by Juline School of Dance teachers and Central West Ballet company dancers.

At the end of the week, parents, grandparents, and friends are invited to come and watch a full performance, featuring the dances learned and full scenery completed by the students.

The 2013 Summer Dance Camp theme is "CAMP Dance Camp".  The cost of this camp is $130, with the full amount due upon registering.

My 7-year-old daughter takes the casual dance and art camp each June, and has since she was 4. This program is just one week long, a few hours a day, and culminates in a very cute, really well executed show on the last day. Participants learn dances, make props and stage decorations, listen to stories and create take-home art.
The one-week Dance Camp is not meant to be technical instruction — it just gets kids' creative juices flowing with different types of fine arts experiences — but my daughter (who takes a regular dance class throughout the school year) always comes home dancing, singing and even more interested in painting and drawing than she already is. Dance Camp is a great way to kick summer off with a bang!...more
