Moaning Cavern is a California wonder! It holds the largest vertical chamber in a public cavern, so large, in fact, it could easily house the Statue of Liberty.
The facility is open 365 days a year and features
- a Walk Tour (suitable for the entire family)
- a Rappels tour (descend by rope into the main cavern — 12 and up)
- a 3-hour Adventure Trip (with/without rappel, long tour — 12 and up)
Don't let the fun end underground... Back on the Earth's surface, additional activities are available to increase the extreme fun factor: 32-foot tall climbing tower, 1500-foot zip line, gemstone mining, gold panning, geode cracking, nature trail, and more!
BIRTHDAY PARTIES
Both Moaning Cavern and Black Chasm Cavern offer birthday party packages. Discounts are available when more than 5 party-goers are participating in any given activity. Party reservations must be made at least two weeks in advance.
