Downtown Modesto is the place to be this July 4th to celebrate the 138th annual city parade!  The parade will start at 9:30am at 10th and F Street, up to 11th Street and back to I Street, ending on 17th street.  Come early to get a seat!

Modesto's 4th of July parade is a great way to celebrate Independence Day with the family. Last year's parade was very entertaining! Our friend's got there a pretty early to hold a spot in the shade right on the parade route. We got there just before the parade, and parking wasn't too bad, just a short walk to our spot. The weather last year was manageable, not too hot. There were plenty of vendors selling water and soda. The parade opened with the Modesto PD motorcycle officers. There were lights, sirens, formations and more! It was pretty exciting. The kids really enjoyed the clowns riding mini cars and scooters. And who doesn't like the 'walkers' throwing candy? There are a lot of local businesses, sports teams, and bands who participate in the parade. The kids enjoyed looking for people they knew on the floats. This will definitely been a 4th of July tradition for us!...more

Cheap fun for the whole family. Come ahead of time to find goog parking and some sort of shade!

Great little hometown parade! Bring lots of water, sunscreen and your patriotic attire. Inexpensive fun.
