The Modesto National Junior Basketball League is now registering 1st through 8th grade boys and girls for its fall/winter season.
With an emphasis on team skill building, good sportsmanship, and player development, each player is guaranteed to play 2 of 5 regulation periods per game. 3rd through 8th grade players will be placed in one of three divisions. 1st through 2nd graders are placed in the "rookie league", designed to strengthen basic skills.
Practices (held on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings) begin in November and games are played on Sundays, beginning December 5. Games and practices are held at Cardozo Middle School Gym in Riverbank. The $175 registration fee is due by December 15, and additional gym costs will be necessary (fund raising is required).
