Enjoy classic wintry activities right here in the Central Valley! Dell'Osso Family Farm will banish those winter blues and keep kids of all ages busy throughout the season.
Parking is free, admission is free, and because outside food is allowed, feel free to pack a picnic lunch and a thermos of cocoa. Continue on with the free activities: families can visit the real reindeer family, drive the pedal cars, climb the tire pyramid and romp around in the snow play area.
Ice skating is a new feature as of last year, and though it may be a bit of a mob scene, it's worth the wait. Skates are available, or skaters may bring their own.
The amazing alpine mountain tubing will tucker out the tots; 90-minute sessions ensure that fun is to be had. Single tubes and double tubes are offered, and keep in mind that tubers 36-42" tall must have a responsible grown-up help navigate the snowy slide. Every tuber must have a ticket, which is available for pre-purchase here. Please note that outside sledding equipment is not allowed.
Daredevils might forgo the traditional snow-inspired activities and brave the zip line and the aerial ropes courses. Have the waiver signed and ready to go to avoid ants in the pants style tantrums.
The farm is open November 25 through January 1, 2012, closed only on Christmas Day. Hours vary, so make sure to plan your visit according to the calendar of hours and events. Please note that severe weather may cancel usage of the aerial ropes courses and zip line; the alpine mountain tube slide is covered, so rain does not affect operation of this attraction.
