I have to say, I've read the other reviews after I signed up my 6 year old son and was a little leery. Well, after his week there, I a glad he did it. He LOVED it. He didn't want to leave and asked if he could go every day for the whole summer. He was even willing to skip the family vacation to the Grand Canyon (lol um, I hope thats not a reflection on us).

I think this camp is for younger children. While my 6 year old son loved it, I think my 9 year old daughter (going on 18) might think it was too babyish for her liking.

My only complaint would be the name gives the false impression that they would be swimming most of the time. The really only swim for about an hour of the 4.5 hours that they are there (which was good because the summer has had a cold start this year).

They did play tennis, which of course now my son wants to do tennis camp. They played basketball, dodge ball and did craft projects. Perhaps Fun Zone Camp would be a better name.

At the end of the week they get a camp T-Shirt, A Medal and a Sports Bottle. For $90 (non-members) Mon-Thur 9-1:30, it was a great buy. My son was happy and we will do it again next year for sure.

My experience so far has been good. This is our 2nd year attending the camp. My kids bring their own tennis rackets, but they provide loaners if kids come with out. My kids have a blast and they do different things every day which is good for my kids because they would be bored if they did the same thing everyday. I like that my kids are kept active in a camp that is pretty inexpensive compared to others that offer the same thing. Plus my kids love the t-shirts and medals, and collect them each camp and each year. I have a 7 year old and a 12 year old. Both seemed to have fun this week and want to go more this summer. I watched usually every day after and before my workouts and I wanted to join in the relay games, especially the ones in the pool! I agree during the busy times parking is hard, but they are very busy during that time in the morning I have found that it is best to come by around 8:45am if I want to park in the parking lot. ...more

Our camp experience has been disappointing this week. To start with, the parking situation at Brenda Athletic Club is inconvenient for camp drop-off. The parking lot was completely full during the 9am camp drop off time, we had to park 2-3 blocks away on the street. Second, the camp seems unorganized. The kids did arts & crafts only one day, there were not enough tennis racquets for all of the kids to play tennis, they have not done any beach volleyball, relay games or played dance freeze all week. Of the six girls, ages 7-11 years old, only the youngest two have actually enjoyed the whole week. The camp is open to 4-13 year olds, but perhaps more suitable to the 10 and under group. The pros...the facility is very clean, the staff are kind and friendly, each child wears a bracelet signifying they are campers, and a mid-morning snack is provided. Overall this camp did not meet our expectations....more
