Children who can read independently can sign up for a 15-minute time slot to read to a dog in the Library. The dogs are trained and certified therapy dogs and are accompanied by a handler. Reading out loud is an important developmental skill. Reading to a dog provides a comfortable, non-judgmental environment for the child to read out loud. Bring your own book or choose one from the Children's Department.
Sign-ups are required and begin on Tuesday, April 15.
