Micke Grove Zoo is a five-acre zoo filled with mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Micke Grove Zoo is attached to Micke Grove Park which features a Japanese Garden, San Joaquin County Historical Museum, Fun Town at Micke Grove Amusement Park and a large picnic area.
Hours of operation: daily, 10am-6pm, May-September, 10am-5pm, October-April. Closed on Christmas Day.

I remember going to Micke Grove Zoo when I was a kid and I loved it. We have been a few times with my kids now and they had a great time as well. The zoo is small but the perfect size for toddlers and preschoolers. There is a big grassy area across from the zoo which is perfect for a picnic.
