Micke Grove Zoo is a five-acre zoo filled with mammals, birds, reptiles and invertebrates. Micke Grove Zoo is attached to Micke Grove Park which features a Japanese Garden, San Joaquin County Historical Museum, Fun Town at Micke Grove Amusement Park and a large picnic area.
Hours of operation: daily, 10am-6pm, May-September, 10am-5pm, October-April. Closed on Christmas Day.

Most of the California-native mammals, birds and reptiles at Applegate Park Zoo came from wildlife rescue centers looking for a safe place to live. Toddlers will enjoy running around this teeny zoo, feeding the goats, and seeing the bears!
Hours of operation: Daily, weather permitting. Winter Hours: 10am-4pm; Spring-Fall Hours: 10am-5pm. Closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day.

Four of the North Pole's most majestic animals arrive at the zoo in mid-November and will hold court through January 1, 2013.
Visit with reindeer Belle, Peppermint, Holly and Velvet and watch for any "holiday hoofplay".
