The Toulumne County Sheriff's Posse is presenting the 55th annual Mother Lode Round-Up this weekend in Sonora, starting at 2pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Over 350 rodeo stars will compete in bareback riding, barrel racing, bronc riding, bull riding, calf roping, steer wrestling, and team roping.

Held at the Mariposa County Fairgrounds and sponsored by the Mariposa Kiwanis Club, the annual 4th of July Old-Fashioned Celebration and Fireworks takes place on Sunday, July 3, 2011.
Festivities begin at noon and continue until 7pm. Enjoy free access to water slides, games, music and more. Food and drink vendors will be offering items for purchase.
